live, laugh, love! ;)

the big bang theory

I LOVE IT FOR ITS COMEDIC VALUE HAHAHAHA and it’s scientific accuracy too (a physics teacher said he froze the screen to check the validity of the math equations on a whiteboard behind the characters and yes there were real and right!!) but what i wanna talk about today is Leonard and Penny’s relationship!! it’s something quite interesting, especially penny’s views on it, and something that caught my attention above all else. :)

Penny and Leonard were in the fifth year of their relationship, and he proposed but she didn’t wanna accept and when asked why she went, “welllll i’ve been in love before but it didn’t feel like this! maybe this is a different kinda love… a more boring one…? o.O”

SO boring and safe love vs dynamic risky one. I used to think people had to choose one or the other… But it’s a false dilemma I now know we don’t. :) we write our own stories and future and destinies! true love –if it exists– (butohsunrisesinabeautifulcottage) can be both :) reminds me of the quote from the last book of the hunger games trilogy though, where katniss married peeta. she concluded,

Although no one seeds it, the Meadow turns green again.

Peeta and I grow back together. There are still moments where he clutches the back of a chair and hangs on until the flashbacks are over. I wake screaming from nightmares of mutts and lost children. But his arms are there to comfort me. And eventually his lips.

…I know this would have happened anyway. That what I need to survive is not Gale’s fire, kindled with rage and hatred. I have plenty of fire myself. What I need is the dandelion in the spring. The bright yellow that means rebirth instead of destruction. The promise that life can go on, no matter how bad our losses. That is can be good again. And only Peeta can give me that.

So after, when he whispers, “You love me. Real or not real?” I tell him, “Real.”

i must remember to carve out some time in a day to read (and 20-questions darrel dang I’m so sorry for the lag :/)! looking forward to my newest book (hee the first i borrowed from school) “the pig that wants to be eaten and 99 other thought experiments” it’s really bursting with potential sangat teruja! :) and of course, the fault in our stars by john green. :) membaca jambatan ilmu– reading is the bridge to knowledge.
